Lake Ballard is a huge salt lake in outback Western Australia.
It's 51 kms from Menzies & English artist Antony Gormley, erected 51 statues taken from laser scans of 51 of the local people.
It's quite a site when you arrive at Lake Ballard, 51 kms up a dirt road to be greeted by these metal statues dotted around the huge lake.
When I was there it was fairly dry, although there was the odd patch that was a bit muddy to walk on. But when there's heavy rains, walking across Lake Ballard isn't possible.
